Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Time: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
We will start this tour on National Route Nº 40, towards the south of our province. After passing the
North oasis and the Uco Valley we will get to the district of San Rafael, where we will see its modern
city, visiting typical places.
There, we will see the beautiful landscapes of 25 de Mayo, the old village and main city of the entire
district.
Continuing on the same route, we will get to Valle Grande, the right place for adventure tourism. Here
we will see the magnificent combination of human inventiveness and the underlying rugged beauty of the
mountainous formations of the South.
We will continue to Atuel Canyon, a natural environment produced by the erosion of the wind and water
where we will see the geological formations that show figures such as the castle, the ghost and the
cathedral. On this trip we will also see different dams and hydroelectric plants.
On this journey through the south of the province, it is possible to appreciate the incredible
combination of colours and shapes produced by the rocky walls and the effect of erosion. The Atuel River
sinks in the multicolour rock carved during million and million years, giving us a unique presence. We
will also visit El Nihuil Dam, an artificial lake and hydroelectric complex with its plants Nihuil 1, 2
and 3. At the end of the tour, we go back to
Mendoza city.
