CLASSIC MENDOZA
The program includes:
*Accommodation 4 days/ 3 nights at the chosen hotel with breakfast
(buffet)
*Transfer in and out
* Regular group tours: The Wine Roads with tasting, High Mountain tour (lunch
is not included) and city and surrounding areas.
Note: these tours have been suggested as regular group tours but they
can be done privately as well.
Day 1 Mendoza:
Picking you up at the airport or Bus Station and transfer to the hotel
chosen. Accommodation
Optional: Depending on the arrival time, there is a possibility of doing
a city tour at 3p.m. This tour is characterized by the particular
scenery of wide and clean sidewalks, trees, squares and walking streets,
the hospitality of its people and the passive street traffic. We will
visit the Foundational Area, the Civic Park, General San Martin Park and
Cerro de la Gloria (‘Glory’s Hill’)
Day 2 Mendoza:
7a.m. After breakfast at the hotel, we are ready to start the high
mountain tour. During the trip on route nº7 we will see the village of
Potrerillos till we arrive to Uspallata Valley. Further on the trip,
there is a colonial bridge over Picheuta River and in Tambillos we
appreciate Incas ruins. Then we will get to Puente del Inca (Inca’s
Bridge), stunning ocher-colored natural formation over Cuevas River. As
we continue, we will get to the Argentine Customs office and the roads
leads to the Aconcagua Provincial Park where you can see the 6962 Mts
(22.840 feet) Mountain. Continuing on route nº7 we will get to the last
argentine village, Las Cuevas, at 3151 meters (10,338 feet) above sea
level, on the way to the international tunnel that connects Mendoza with
Chile.
7:30p.m. We go back to the hotel
Day 3 Mendoza:
2:30p.m. Visit to wineries and vineyards. You will see the effort man
did to transform the dessert into an oasis. Irrigation system inherited
by the Huarpes (native indigenous group) now computerized with dripping,
allowing Mendoza to be one of the main producers in the world, with high
quality wines. Visiting two wineries, where experts will explain the
elaboration process and will invite us to taste some wines.
6:30p.m. We go back to the hotel.
Day 4 Mendoza:
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport or bus station. End
of our services.
