There are paved roads until Las Vegas. It is interesting to make this circuit by car, wear comfortable clothing for trekking, climbing, horseback riding, and to enjoy the sun (in the summer). The duration is a day. It is operable throughout the year.
Leaving from the Great Mendoza, take the Acceso Sur National Route 40, continue through the junction of the new National Route 7, in Lujan de Cuyo.
The way goes through the Petrochemical and Industrial Complex area and also the Oil and Distillery, passing between Serranías to join with the Valley of Potrerillos. There is the point of the new water reservoir, go to the village and civic centre of the valley and go up Route 89, along the Blanco River to appreciate the panoramic view of the Cordon del Plata. The landscape of this Andean valley has in its vicinity the Mendoza River, large streams surrounded by trees, places to camp and summer villas located in El Salto, El Caramelo, Las Carditas, Los Manantiales, Las Vegas and Valle del Sol, in which there is a beautiful plant nursery with guided tours. The return can be done by the same route, or from Las Vegas, there is the option of returning to Provincial Route 89 and going to Tupungato.
