Finca Sophenia has been created following the advice of the famous Michael Rolland, seeking above all things produce great wines. The farm extends over 130 hectares of prime wilderness Tupungato Valley, at 1200 mts. above the sea.
Here, the soil is stony loam with excellent drainage. The irrigation water comes from the melting of the Andes and the distributed system was designed to achieve small berry fruits and low production per hectare so that the wines are long-lived, highly complex and highly concentrated fruit.

Equipped with a unique architectural profile, the latest technology holds the wine reception, grinding, pressing and imported wine from France.
The white grapes are cooled prior to pressing, sometimes effected, for a short period of time, maceration, to achieve a good extraction of aromas.
Ground red grape is deposited by gravity into stainless steel tanks. Is cooled to effect a cold maceration which extracts the finest aromas and flavors, and is vinified with selected yeasts. The maceration postfermentación are generally achieving longer extract the best features of the skins.
The resulting wines are raised in French and/or American oak barrels giving as result wines with the highest quality.
